Pulpcore 3.21 release schedule

Pulpcore 3.21.0 release is tentatively scheduled for September 8, 2022.
(In case of the schedule change, please discuss the impact with galaxy_ng folks.)

Here is the milestone where we track release blockers.

Any chance HTTPs proxy functionality will make it into this release?

I recommended that PR be closed because I don’t support Pulp monkeypatching Python itself.

Pulp already supports it as long as both aiohttp and Python versions also support it. The short answer is you need aiohttp 3.8.0+ (which Pulp uses) and Python 3.11. Their docs on this contain more info about why. As an alternative the aiohttp docs also link to a patch you can use to patch Python if you’re using < 3.11.

So for users to have this working use aiohttp 3.8 (which you get with Pulp) and Python 3.11, or users can patch their Python code themselves.
