Pulp installation way to go

Hi community
Basic question: Which is the way to go for a new setup?

We have an pulp environment done with ansible installer. Not very comfortable to update.
Now we have to do a OS migration.

So, we read that ansible installer will gone and the new way to go is by OCI Containers.
Is that right? Can’t find the line anymore.
On the Website i can see still the message to not use it in production.

But we like to go the container way.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @mikch06! The oci-images are definitely the way to go, we’re putting our focus/time there and on pulp_operator. You can get help here, or in #pulp or #pulp-deployments in Matrix!

Thanks a lot!
This is not easy to find in the docs, but now it’s clear which way to go.

We have dedicated some time to address the current situation regarding recommended installations. We are planning to update docs across the plugins and official landing pages.

Indeed - see https://github.com/pulp/pulpproject.org/pull/459 for some current work. Thanks for pointing out the need @mikch06

I had a lot more success with the Ansible modules than I did trying to configure Pulp with the pulp-cli binary…
