There is an extra parameter in orphan cleanup --protection-time that you need to set to 0 if you want to immediately clean up recently synced content. Orphan cleanup can actually be ran in parallel with syncs and it doesn’t delete recently orphan content (<24 hrs old). Using --protection-time 0 will ensure orphan cleanup gets all orphaned content.
